Juan Ares (1978) is born in Boiro, a coastal town in Galicia (Spain).

He graduates in social studies in the USC (1999) and later he takes a postgraduate study in A Coruña (2000).

Once he finishes his university phase, he redirects his professional and personal career, deciding to design and strengthen his creative curiosities.

He graduates in EASD Mestre Mateo (Santiago de Compostela, 2005).

He develops his early professional activity within the architecture and interior design area, developing projects of commercial and residential nature. He creates his own studio in 2006.

His progressive career development, places him in the product design and furnishings area. He develops and publishes his first works at the end of 2011, singled out for their conceptual references to the sea and its surroundings.

In the year 2012 he was welcomed to join the I World Economic and Cultural Meeting, celebrated in Santiago de Compostela, in the Cidade da Cultura, in Galicia, Spain. During this professional meeting, his project “Rias Baixas, Prototypes” was pointed out as one of the best ideas when it comes to setting up partnerships between business and design, innovation and recycling worlds.

That same year he was selected by a professional board of judges to participate in the 2012 SALON NUDE (International Furniture Fair in Valencia). This is a critical fair where new designers, design schools and businessmen meet.

In early 2013, he creates the conceptual furniture firm Juan Ares Design Lab.

That same year, he is invited to participate and present his project at the I FORUM "ISAAC DIAZ PARDO" COMPANY AND CULTURE, held in Santiago de Compostela, and in which national and international business experiences that base their product development on elements of tradition and culture were made known.

His creations receive recognition specialized press, and they are required to be displayed in specialized design conventions, both in the national and international scene.

Juan Ares is always evolving and trying new experiences.
